REMA’s EAL training course for recently qualified primary teachers is taking place again this academic year. You will find it relevant for your NQTs, as well as returning teachers and those in their second year of teaching. Last year’s delegates found that the training significantly boosted their confidence in catering for the needs of their EAL pupils.
The training course is delivered by REMA Specialist Teachers over two dates in the autumn and spring terms, with distance mentoring available in the intervening period.
It has a practical focus, and is aimed at developing the ability of new teachers to deal with the challenges that teaching EAL pupils may present.
The attached flyer will give you some further information. Please contact me if you would like more details or would like to book places.
