Healthy Movers - Youth Sport trust
Healthy Movers is a suite of resources and training to support early years practitioners and families to develop the competence and confidence to ensure every child aged 2 - 5 is physically literate.
The practitioner resource develops the confidence to ensure every child is physically literate and deliver the physical development component of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework. It enables settings to incorporate physical activity into every day and engage parents on the importance of healthy active lifestyles and their contribution to a child’s development.
The Healthy Movers at Home resource set is a set of games and activities to get children moving at home. The activities are designed to develop balance, movement and using objects in a fun and engaging way, and feature PJ Masks superheroes Catboy, Owlette and Gekko.
The pack complements the Healthy Movers Toolkit for early years settings and engages parents in the importance of sitting less and moving more at home for the benefit of their child’s development.
