CPI is the local authority approved provider of restrictive physical intervention training for Surrey Children’s Services.

The accredited training centre offers a range of training based on need.  Positive Touch training is aimed primarily at our mainstream settings exploring legal framework, behaviour management and physical interventions appropriate to the setting.  If more physical intervention is required settings can access MAPA training (management of actual or potential aggression).

MAPA Training options should be discussed with a licensed MAPA trainer around the needs of the individual setting/young person and could include training at foundation, advanced or emergency level.

Access to MAPA training requires supporting evidence, behaviour support teacher referral form, young person risk assessment, and evidence of previous school proactive training.

For any enquiries regarding physical contact with young people in Surrey Children’s Services please use contact details provided.
